Carys Davies


Carys has been training with us since she was in high school! She just recently graduated Point Loma Nazarene University with her bachelors, took the LSAT, and got accepted to law school at USD! Her studies have been vigorous but she has not let that interfere with her training. She comes in every week ready to work, killing her workouts AND her school load. We are so grateful to be part of her journey, knowing that her strength of body paired with the strength of her mind will take her anywhere she aims to go. Congratulations Carys, we can't wait to see what else you accomplish.

  1. How long have you been doing the SH and what value has it brought you?

    Carys: I’ve been at SH for about seven years off and on between high school sports seasons, and during summers and winter breaks in college. While in town, SH is the best workout to keep me fit. When at school Lydia writes me personalized workouts to keep me staying in shape and healthy, motivating me to go to the gym and take a break from schoolwork. SH has also given me the confidence to be able to workout with the proper form. 

  2. What does strength happen mean to you, and how do you apply it to your day to day life? 

    Carys: I aim to workout six days a week and to be overall fit, healthy and strong enough to do any activity. 

  3. What activities do you like to do outside of the gym?

    Carys: I enjoy hiking, skiing, traveling, going to coffee, being with friends, and babysitting.

  4. What’s your favorite healthy “go to” snack? 

    Carys: Greek Yogurt with cinnamon and granola.
