Mark Sabens came to Strength Happens earlier this year to get in shape to tie the hitch and has stayed with us after because he saw the benefits of our program. He’s lost some weight but more importantly, he is stronger, more confident, and FEELS better. Here’s a big congratulations to Mark for his improvements in his health and his marriage to a beautiful woman.

1. How long have you been doing the SH program?
M: I’ve been doing strength happens for about 8 months and initially it was to lose some weight and get in shape before my wedding. Lose about 15 pounds and it's made me more conscious of my eating and workout habits. I like the personal attention you get during a workout and the variety of exercises you do. I've been getting stronger and feel great after every workout.

2. How do you apply SH in your everyday life?

M: My wedding day has come and gone and I still continue to workout at Strength Happens. I use some of the exercises I've learned on my own and make it a priority to stay active throughout the week. I'm not on as strict a diet as before the wedding, but I can't eat pizza and not feel guilty. I know I'm going to burn it off the next day during one of the workouts. Definitely have no plans on stopping and will continue to go weekly.

3. What activities do you like to do outside of the gym?

M: Tennis, golf, soccer, volleyball...Love playing sports and love being active!

4. What’s your favorite “go to” healthy snack?

M: Cherries but they're not in season :(. Tons of benefits and a serving size is 21 cherries!
